My name is Lubos Bogar and wine begins to be a part of my profesional life more than 8 years ago. As a human i believe in theory that you need study if you like to be an professional in something! Regarding to evolution theory the education is neverending process. In 2013 i met Andreas Wickhoff MW (Master of Wine) when he co-organize masterclass Slovakia vs. Austria. Since then, time to time i have it in my mind – and desire to study on Institute of Master of Wine was something unachievable.

   After few years in wine trade i apply to my firt WSET course. And the route of my studies is still in process. After succesfull pass on WSET Level 3 – Award in Wines and Spirits i continued to Level 4 – Diploma in Wines and Spirits. And today i am in! As a historicaly first Slovakian, at the beginning but with honor i am a student Master of Wine program on Institute of Masters of Wine.

   Besides i achieved a title WSET Certified Educator and became WSET Approved course provider.

WSET Level 1 Award in Wines

Introductory course to world of wines for people who starting their job where wine is a part of it (wine trade, restaurant etc.) but also for wine lovers and wine enthusiasts.

For beginners in wine education will this qualification offer introductory look to world of wines. Candidate will learn how to distinguish main wine styles through appearance, aromas and flavours and he achieve the basic skill how to describe the the wine and fundamentals of wine and food pairing.After succesful pass will student recieve certificate and pin.

WSET Level 2 Award in Wines

Course for beginners or intermediates. Great start for those who are looking to continue in WSET education to higher qualification as is Level 3 or Level 4 Award in Wines.

Level 2 Award in Wines is for people with none or very basic experience with wine but also for persons who know something about wine. During the course you achieve knowledge about globaly and regionaly important grape varieties coming from all over the world and styles of wines regarding to that grape varieties. Thanks to combination of theory and tasting you will discover factors influencing style and quality and you will learn how to exactly describe these wines.

Intermediate qualification for proffesionals working with wine in any part of wine business but also for wine enthusiasts or wine lowers who want know more.

Level 3 Award in Wines is going more deeply into world of wine than Level 2 Award in Wines. This qualificataion offers detailed understanding of wine growing and wine making. After succeful completition both the course you will be able to evaluate wine in details and use of your knowledge to describe responsibly style and quality tasted wine. Succesful candidate will recieve certificate, pin and will be able to use WSET logo related to your level of WSET education.
